WCO1001 is a solid-state wide band power combiner, Wilkinson type, which includes an input low power divider, an output high power combiner, balanced loads at full power in input and output, an output power meter and a system power-on switch.
Even though it can be used with a series of solid-state FM amplifiers up to 600W, placed in phase and at wide band, it has been specially designed to be used with SIEL RFB5O1, a 500 W amplifier, with which it is to be aesthetically and electrically combined to obtain a nominal output power of 1 KW on nearly the whole FM band with minimal or no adjustments. The combiner includes a set of devices able to operate automatically or to be operated remotely in case of failure of parts of the system. WCO is FM broadcasting system that allows safe transmissions even if they are done in non-guarded places.
 
 
All the necessary components to connect the external amplifiers are featured in WCO1OO1, including the loads for full power for unbalancing and cables. No external mechanism is required to join the RFB501 amplifiers,                                           if they have been correctly selected in factory. Dealing with an iso-phase combiner, there is no damage possible to the balancing load if input or output cables are inverted on the same pair, as could be in the case of 3dB combiners. An active spare system can be easily built this way at a competitive price with respect to 1 KW amplifiers.
A meter to control the forward, reflected and unbalanced output power and an internal RF device is included to permit the optimal control of the system.
